Loss Prevention
Midland Engineering Limited offers
services in all aspects of Loss Prevention in the chemical
process industry, manufacturing and related operations. Our qualifications in
Process Safety Management (PSM) are covered separately. In
addition to PSM experience, we have considerable expertise in
analyzing hazards and instituting engineering and
administrative controls to prevent incidents.
We have a range of expertise from the very practical to the
theoretical. Midland Engineering Limited personnel have held
positions as Loss Prevention Manager, Safety Manager, Fire
Chief, and Process Consultants for major chemical companies.
Additionally, many of our personnel have management, operating
and maintenance experience in highly hazardous processes and
know first hand the importance of Loss Prevention and avoiding
incidents. Tools used involve hazard and risk evaluations and
the concepts of inherent safety and containment. We are
prepared to work with you to implement programs to improve
your Loss Prevention performance.
We have an excellent understanding of the properties of
chemicals and their potential for fire, explosion, and
personnel injury. We know and understand the nature of
chemical processes and chemical process equipment and their
potential for incidents. We know and have applied preventive
measures and protective features which strive to eliminate all
incidents and to mitigate the affect of those that do occur.
We believe in the need for preparedness for a wide range of
emergencies via Emergency Planning and Response and Risk
Management Planning and have implemented these for both
industrial sites and communities.
We are experienced in working with insurance companies and
understand their importance in Loss Prevention. We also
understand and have experience in the concept of self
insurance and are in a position to help optimize your
insurance coverage.
Our commitment to preventing incidents drives our skills and
experiences in analyzing all incidents to ensure root causes
are identified and corrective actions implemented. Corrective
action must maximize the learning from any incident and ensure
it is not repeated anywhere in the entire organization.
A practical and economical way to evaluate our capability to
improve your loss prevention performance is to have us perform
an assessment (comprehensive compliance review) of your
program and get our ideas on how we can work together to avoid
the human and economical costs of process incidents such as
spills, releases, fires and explosions. |
