Process Safety

Midland Engineering Limited offers services for all aspects of safety program development. Our expertise ranges from the development and implementation of entire programs to specific knowledge on elements such as: confined work spaces, hot work permits, effective safety meetings and safety training. Our experience encompasses safety management from staff positions to program implementation from line positions.

We are prepared to solve your specific problems in a wide range of mechanical and chemical processes and related operations. A particularly strong point is our knowledge and experience in the proper handling of chemicals. This ranges from the programs requiring communication and training such as Right to Know and Hazardous Communications to more technical programs such as chemical reactivity and toxicity.

We are skilled and committed to efforts to prevent injuries and incidents. Training, audits and inspections, comprehensive compliance reviews, awareness, root cause analysis, hazard surveys, etc. are tools used to prevent incidents through proactive programs. We understand the importance of proper attitude of all employees and management's critical role in establishing safety expectations for effective overall safety programs. We are experienced in building the foundations for strong safety performance. We will work with you to build programs and solve problems to improve safety performance and qualifying for the OSHA Voluntary Protection Plan (VPP).

Our commitment to preventing incidents drives our skills and experiences in analyzing all incidents to ensure root causes are identified and corrective actions implemented. Corrective action must maximize the learning from the incident and ensure it is not repeated - throughout the entire organization. Cost reduction through Worker Compensation Assessment and Reduction is a key goal of reducing injuries.

A practical and economical way to evaluate our capability to improve your safety performance is to have us perform an assessment of your employee and contractor safety programs and get our ideas on how we can work together to avoid the human, environmental, community and economic costs of safety incidents.
